Sandra was born into a Christian home, the youngest of five children. Church was always the center of her life. She started playing the piano for the Children’s Choir at Bethel Tabernacle in Houston, TX at the age of seven. Thus her ministry thru music began. As a child she always desired to marry a preacher, and played church by the hour, playing the role of pastor’s wife. Her dream came true when she married David Myer on December 15, 1967. They traveled, holding revival meetings, for the first two years of their marriage before they took their first pastorate in Aransas Pass, TX, right on the beautiful Texas coast. They then moved on to Montgomery, LA and while pastoring there, Jason was born. After almost four years, they moved back to Texas and have pastored Abundant Life Sanctuary, in Groves since 1974. During that time, she lost a baby boy, a brother, dad and mother. In 2003 her youngest son, Justin, became paralyzed and in a coma like state for almost five years. She was his primary care giver until he died in 2008. The journey, through these losses, left her with a faith and trust in God that she has shared with many. She is presently the Music Minister at the church her husband pastors. She has written many skits, and recently wrote a full length play on Esther that was performed before several thousand ladies at Texas Ladies Conference. Recently after speaking at a ladies conference in Beaumont, TX, several asked her to put her story in a book. This is the result.
