She is encouraging others to see the significance of praying for employers. Before beginning the challenge, the "Thank You" page defines the tone of this book in a simple but stimulating way; being thankful for the benefits a job can bring. This will prompt thought into readers on what their job provides for them and set the challenge by saying a simple thank-you.
Each day’s challenge is not written in a way to demean our employer, but to ask for God’s wisdom and direction in situations. Each challenge reflects a specific theme revolving employment (unforgiveness, temptation, humility, pride, integrity, etc.), while the content is shaped according to choice scripture verses. This will be an effective way for readers to become familiar with the truths behind the scripture verses, as well as how to implement this spiritual understanding into their daily prayer lives.
Proud wife, mother, and devoted servant of God. Charleen has used her God-given, God-directed talents to be a force for good. She and her husband are active members of St. Peter’s Church and World Outreach Center, where she serves in different capacities. For the past 22 years, she has worked in law firms in a wide array of areas of legal practice, including, immigration, landlord/tenant relations, real estate, divorce, trust and estate planning, estate administration, product liability, medical malpractice and construction. Several years ago, during a period of unemployment (2 ½ years), the Lord placed a burning desire on Charleen’s heart for things concerning the work place. After becoming re-employed, May 2014, seemingly random thoughts came into her spirit, and, as time went by, they started to manifest themselves one at a time. As God led her, she followed His lead, using the Word of God to slowly change her attitude and actions and to develop a heart of thanksgiving in all she does and especially to make a difference in the work place, not by preaching and beating others over the head with the Word, but by making her light shine. Her desire is to follow as He leads, “humble herself under the mighty hand of God”, allow Him to do the pruning and use her for His glory by being a positive example of His Word and His Love to everyone who comes across her path. “Sow to yourselves in righteousness, reap in mercy; break up your fallow ground: for it is time to seek the LORD, till he come and rain righteousness upon you.” Hosea 10:12.
