Wedding bells mix with murder in this third adventure of Jo Elliott and her gospel music-singing family. In “The Trouble with Monkshood,” Jo and her family scramble to unmask the murderer of a well-loved family country doctor. Intertwined with his death are old mysteries that directly involve the Edwards family. Hidden treasures and old sins will be disclosed along with the revelations that tie the doctor’s murder with past family secrets. Can Jo and her family unmask the truth before the murderer strikes again, and can they discover his identity before it is too late for members of her own family? Follow Jo and her family as they find the answers to old and new mysteries. Author Joyce Igo has been a traveling gospel singer for over thirty years and uses her knowledge of that lifestyle to create another thrilling novel in the series.
Joyce Igo is a Southern Gospel artist, having written and recorded over two hundred Gospel songs. She is a lifelong West Virginia native. She was married to a pastor, Denver Igo, for twenty-eight years until his passing in 2000. Besides using her musical talents, she was involved in youth and children ministries in their pastorates. She has spent the last thirty-three years “on the road”, carrying the Gospel message through song across the United States and Canada. In recent years, she has expanded her ministry to include several mission trips to the continents of Europe, South and Central America, Africa, and Asia.
This is Joyce’s third book in the Jo Elliott mystery series. “The Shadow of a Man” and “The Mark of Cain” are the first two books.
