Two Years Is a Lifetime is the story of one Christian Marine who served in Vietnam from 1966 to 1967. Paul had quit high school to be a farmer but was refused a draft exemption. So he enlisted in the Marines. He became a radio operator for a mortar battery in Vietnam, spending time near the DMZ. While Paul saw action and death, his stories deal mostly with relationships, responsibilities, and life-changing situations. Although he starts out negative, even causing a Congressional investigation during boot camp, Paul learns to trust that God has a plan and will never leave us nor forsake us. God was his constant refuge and strength in the time of need.

PAUL MEFFERD spent two years in the Marines. After his return home, he met Mary, his wife of thirty- five years. This book would not have been possible if it were not for her encouragement. They have six children and eight grandchildren. He worked at General Motors for thirty years, retiring in September 2001. Paul has lived his life trying to obey the Scriptural command, "Whatever you do, do all to the glory of God" (1 Corinthians 10:31).
