He was one of the greatest evangelists of his generation, radio broadcaster and pioneer of Christian films. As Marilee researched his life, she uncovered remarkable, untold stories of how God transformed a twelve-year-old street preacher into a visionary who rarely saw a need he didn’t meet. “Reading his memoirs,” Dunker says, “I discovered stories of audacious faith beyond my wildest imagination, and I needed to share them with the next generation!”

Marilee Pierce Dunker is the second daughter of Dr. Bob Pierce, founder of World Vision and Samaritan’s Purse. Her first book, Man of Vision, focused on the price her family paid to see World Vision founded, and her groundbreaking honesty won her an Angel Award for best biography. Five other books followed, including Walkers Point, a fiction that earned her a 3-book deal with Bethany House. But before her second fiction was finished, she went to work with World Vision, traveling to forty countries during her 19 years as a speaker and writer for the ministry. Marilee currently serves as Ambassador Emeritus for World Vision, frequently speaking about what it means to live a life of audacious faith!
