Author and historian David G. Rose is a fifth generation Texan. Born in San Antonio, he has often stood on the hallowed grounds of the Alamo, and walked the Mission trail. He has hiked the footpaths of Washington-on-the-Brazos, and viewed the battleground of San Jacinto from the 567-foot monument to the Texas Revolution. He has crossed the Brazos River at San Felipe, and stood in silent horror in Goliad where 342 brave Texan soldiers were massacred.
