Dorothy Jean Ruffin grew up in the Desire Project of New Orleans, Louisiana, in a family of eight. Due to her father’s incarceration, Ruffin was raised by a single mother who taught her children the love of Jesus and the Golden Rule: Do unto others as you would have them do unto you. This would become the motto that Ruffin would carry throughout her life, even today, as she proclaims the goodness of God to others.
Knowing how Jesus lived, died, and rose again for the sins of the world, Ruffin yearned to live for her Lord more and more each day. Before she married, she found truths in the Bible she had never known, such as the true day of the Sabbath, which is Saturday. Returning to God’s ways allowed Ruffin to discover the significance of tithes and offerings. Now, while sharing this discovery with her readers, she gladly gives back to the Lord what He asks of her. Ruffin holds a Master of Divinity and continues to immerse herself in studying the Scriptures
