Sandra has been married 56 years to her pastor husband, Barry. She is the mother of two grown daughters, Wendy and Beth, and mother in law to Chaz and Brent. She is the proud grandmother of three grandchildren: Quinn, Soren and Zoe. Sandra is also Alpha dog to a rescue mixed breed pooch named Chessie.
Sandra’s desire to write started eleven years ago when her husband made the decision, with God’s encouragement, to go into the ministry. Being able to direct the lives of her fictional characters has continued to give her sanity where at times there seemed to be none. The stress of going from a businessman’s wife to one who is supporting a congregation of different viewpoints can be challenging to say the least. At times, feeling as if Sandra and her husband are trying to turn the Queen Mary around in the Detroit River. Creating fictional characters in a fictional arena is a much easier job.
Sandra has her degree in Commercial and Graphic Art. She’s an accomplished long-arm quilter, crafter and caterer. This latest and last of the series A Place to Call Home will finalize the three part series that included The Mochila Saga and Settling on the Frontier all of which followed Jeffrey and Tamara Kane to Lone Tree, Nebraska.
A Place to Call Home separates the twins and moves them in different directions while they still seek God’s guidance in their lives. Thank you for taking this journey with Sandra. Please watch for another series coming to your local bookstore or buy it online in the fall of 2019.
