We live in a day when the boundary lines of right and wrong are not clear. We are pressured to be politically correct. Values about faith and morality are on trial. Marriage is being redefined and (God) is whatever you make him to be. Poems of Conviction will take you on a journey in your own heart, and ask you to re-evaluate, “What do you believe?”
As you take this journey with the author, his hope is not so much to change your mind, but rather, that you will allow God to speak to your heart.
He wants the reader to reflect on their relationship with God, others, and the intents of the human heart.
Bruce often refers to the great change the Lord has made in his life. Each poem is juxtaposed with a short commentary and artwork which further expresses the inspiration behind them.
Readers will walk away from Poems of Conviction feeling refreshed and contemplative with the opportunity to consider how the themes discussed are manifested in their own lives.

Bruce Miller was born May of 1954 .As a teenager, Bruce was heavily influenced by the
hippie culture of the sixties and seventies. Sex, drugs, and rock and roll became his role
model. He started experimenting with drugs at age thirteen; which started a downhill
spiral. Bruce’s life changed dramatically when he was touched by the saving power of
Jesus Christ on September 18, 1973. God lit a fire in his soul, and he shared his
conversion experience with anyone who would listen.
In the early 80’s he was devastated by divorce and lost his faith. But God who is faithful
brought him back. He suffered yet two more major setbacks, again God proved his
restoration and saving grace.
For three years, he resided in Bakersfield, CA, where he met his wife, Beverly. This was
a new beginning, the doors to evangelize re-opened. Poems of Conviction was birthed
during this time.
