The story of Ruth in The Bible has always fascinated me and made me wonder about a few incidents in the story that lack details like:
• What killed Elimelech?- Naomi’s husband
• What caused Naomi’s two children (Mahlon and Chilion)to die in quick succession soon after their father?
• What made Ruth decide to follow Naomi back to Bethlehem even though Moabites are not particularly welcome among the Israelites?
These and other questions were the propelling force behind the writing of “The Moabite Woman”.
As much as possible I have tried to keep the original story, but using my imagination and research, some details were added. If you have ever wondered about these questions or others and have an active imagination like mine, you will enjoy this book.
