The author, Karen Rhea, cared for her own son, Billy, throughout a six-year nightmare of unanswered questions with no diagnosis in sight. After extensive medical testing proved he was normal, his symptoms were deemed psychological. Her tireless search to find help for her son baffled and irritated a questioning community. Feeling at war with his doctors and educators, she believed they were all wrong. As Billy's health deteriorated, Karen's marriage to her husband, Jim, began to unravel. Numerous life-altering experiences have accentuated her reliance on her Lord, as she continues to share His sovereignty as a keynote speaker in women's ministry. Karen sang for five consecutive seasons with the National Christian Choir. She has accompanied her husband, Jim, on medical mission trips to Latin America. Karen has managed her husband's dental practice for fifteen years. She attributes her intact family and lasting friendships as evidence of God's unfailing love, mercy, and grace.
