Each year, there are nearly a million people who commit suicide, with anywhere between ten million to twenty million attempting. About thirty thousand people each year in the United States kill themselves. The most tragic part of these statistics is that suicide is often preceded by serious depression, which is a treatable disorder.
It is because of these saddening statistics that author Kingsley Nwokoma seeks to share with those facing thoughts of suicide the amazing grace of God and His Son, Jesus Christ. Through Kingsley’s book, Suicide: Jesus to the Rescue, he wants to get you to believe that God loves you and He is willing and able to rescue you from suicidal thoughts when you say yes to Jesus.
The Lord’s love is abundant and available to everyone; by accepting Jesus, He will love you eternally, and even when you feel alone, He will be with you. Though bringing the Lord into your life will not instantly solve your problems, through His support and love, He can help you overcome feelings of depression and suicidal thoughts.
God can help you rise to greatness in Him just as He has done many times in the Bible with others who have faced suicidal thoughts. Jonah and Job—both men were tempted to suicide, but they instead returned to God and followed His guidance to do great acts. Suicide: Jesus to the Rescue can help you find this same power to overcome your suicidal thoughts.
