The book Shekinah revealed the author’s realization of her soul murder at the hands of the step-father through his sexual abuse and exploitation. She had blocked her entire childhood sexual abuse from her mind until the Lord’s timing of her healing commenced.

The author is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor. She obtained a Master of Arts degree in Human Development Counseling from Saint Louis University in 1998. She was trained as a certified Trauma Consultant from the National Center for Trauma and Loss in 2005. She began her career as an In-Home Family therapist who worked for an agency contracted with Child Protective Services. She has a private practice for which she continues to provide mental health counseling with a faith base perspective.
