Ellie has been through a bad divorce and she doesn’t trust men. Ellie has strange dreams about her dog Belle that has recently passed. As the dreams continues she begins to understand what the dreams are telling her.
Johnathan is wounded in Iraq and ends up at the VA Hospital in the small town of Breezewood and dealing with the loss of his family. He rents a house behind Ellie, which neither one is aware of. After several run-ins with Johnathan, she doesn’t like him, and he thinks she is a mental case.
By chance, they save a stray dog from drowning. After saving the dog, they agree to share the dog on alternating weeks, as in a child custody case. Things get hilarious and out of control over who knows best for Jasper.
Jasper has plans of his own. After Ellie and Johnathan save his life, he decides to make them part of his pack. Jasper is very cunning and is determined to form his pack, until something very unexpected happens.

Maire Woodward resides in West Virginia with her husband Steven Woodward. She has two sons, and four grandchildren. She enjoys gardening, reading, writing poems, and spending time with her grandchildren.
Marie has published several poems and has worked in administrative/accounting positions for over 30 years and graduated from Technical School in the Medical Field.
Marie loves people and animals and currently has a Carin Terrier named Jasper.
