Contemptible Deaths and Making Choices About Eternity is an assortment of twelve short stories suggesting murder, accidental death, or the hypothesis of death including a discussion of hell and alleging death. An unequaled twist at the end of most of the stories will surprise the reader with an undetected outcome. Many of the stories are discussions of what the characters may have done differently relative to the eternity of their soul. Neither the short stories, nor the characters are authentic, some are based upon the author’s relationships with friends and family members. The writings may reflect a bucolic setting, the seashore, in the deep south or suburban America.
The demise of some characters in the book occurs in a diverse manner and may seem authentic to the reader due to one’s personal experiences or perceptions. Despite death being the end of human life with gloomy conclusions, many of the stories provide some whimsical encounters for the characters.
Hating, lying, greediness, anger and experiencing nightmares drive the behavior of numerous characters leading to death. Those who read this book will reflect upon the need of the characters to trust in the Lord Jesus Christ for their eternal outcome, but more importantly, the eternal life of the reader.
