This is the personal account of true events from one who has been divinely favored. It is the story of one born with a crippling illness and yet experienced triumphs and blessings that oftentimes defied explanation. It is a time of painfully learning limitations and at the same time stretching the boundaries of life which fate sought to hold captive. This story is a true illustration of a life whose journey went through struggles with torturous pains, high fevers combined with the threat of heart attack, stroke and general organ failure. I was on a roller coaster ride of exciting highs and excruciatingly painful lows. Through divine favor all of these things were laid to rest giving me over 27 years without a single crisis and free from all symptoms. I didn’t take any medications throughout this period. God took control of my life and turned me into a living witness that He is Lord over life and death. From age thirty-two to present I’ve experienced things that I never dreamed would be possible and the awakening to God’s mind blowing presence has propelled me to heights I couldn’t have imagined. I came to realize that God was orchestrating a beautiful love affair with me that has the potential to touch the heart of the unbeliever as well as encourage God’s community of faith into further opening their minds to the wonderful possibilities that the omnipotent, omniscient and omnipresent God of our salvation can provide. God’s miracles are still available today as much as they were when Jesus walked in the flesh. If you have doubts then this book is for you.

Simply put Perry is a sinner saved by the grace, love and mercy of our God over and over again. He was born to parents whom both carried the sickle cell gene. They had the trait and so, consequently, he and his baby brother drew the short straw out of their ten children and were born with Hemoglobin type SS which is sickle cell disease. From toddler to teenager he grew up slowly learning his limitations. By adulthood he had a good handle on controlling his emotions. Perry has been blessed with a lovely wife, five beautiful daughters, two honorable son in-laws, eight gorgeous grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
