“Historic Louisville, Kentucky: Side by
Side with American Cities” developed out of an essay for a graduate History of
Louisville class. The comparison study provides insight into many significant
city projects. History is defined throughout as the author discusses:
An Emerging Louisville
Commercial Advancement
Rapid Growth
Beyond the Central City
Kathy Leary brings clarity to the complexities of a
growing city in this compact booklet. Black and white photos and drawings of old Louisville
supplement the text.
