Uncommon is a tribute to those who teach Sunday school from the cradle roll to senior adults.
It is designed as a gift book for presentation to these heroes of the faith by their church, Sunday school class, or friends in appreciation for their ministry. Uncommon will encourage todays teachers in Sunday school (small groups/life groups/connection groups/etc.) to continue in their ministry. Uncommon is also written to motivate those who have been chosen by their church to join the ranks in teaching to respond to the calling of God in this ministry.
Readers will see how these 13 national leaders chosen for inclusion committed their entire adult lives to Sunday school. Overcoming the many obstacles encountered, they continued on in their calling, showing how strongly they valued the ministry of Sunday school and its worth.
Written as one book in two volumes, Uncommon is full of surprises and stories about these national leaders as seen through the lens of their Sunday school ministry. You will read about:
John D. Rockefeller Sr.
President Jimmy Carter
Mary C. Crowley
Henrietta Mears
Henry Heinz

Brooks Hays
Owen Cooper
Martha Berry
