This is a book of short stories that happen when I was a nurse. Some are funny and some can be heartbreaking. But God is in every story and every life. God blessed me with the knowledge to take care of these patients.

I was born in Oak Ridge Tennessee but moved to South Carolina when my dad was stationed at Fort Jackson, so I spent the rest of my life in South Carolina. And God called me into Nursing at a very young age. I became an LPN in 1981 and an RN in 1984. For 33 years God allowed me to step into people’s lives. I saw life begin and life end and it was both a privilege and an honor for my patients to let me into their lives. God had called me into nursing, but I was also a Firefighter and EMT for five of those years. I now work as a National Peer Support Specialist with Mental Health America of South Carolina.
I was also instrumental, along with my friend Cindy Krell, in starting a “Drop-In” center for those with a mental illness called the Connection Center.
I currently live in West Columbia South Carolina with my two adult children, which was my greatest accomplishment. I also have a dog and two cats.
