Just like fire shut up in my bones, while my ultimate goal in writing this book is evangelistic in nature, with an urgency, my aim was also to help those who feel left out and lonely — unloved or simply unworthy. Yet in order to authentically proclaim He who sets us free and makes us clean, I had to be willing to share some of my own personal dirt … to help relieve other peoples shackles and hurt. No matter how far away anyone feels they are from freedom, I pray this book will help them realize:
“Deliverance is ‘never too far’ in the DISTANCE;
‘Christ Jesus’ is just that close”.
With a true love for writing since age 16 — now age 57, the author is a neophyte; a novice in the novel scene. Ms. Johnson and her family are members of Elizabeth Baptist Church under the pastoral leadership of Dr. Craig L. Oliver, Sr., a prominent, pivotal, transformational Christian pioneer who preaches and proclaims God’s word with power; impacting lives globally. Though solid in the faith, her most dangerous and detrimental trails initiated in her early 30’s, resulting in a dark period of physical, psychological and emotional pain. While Ms. Johnson earned a Bachelor of Arts in Religion and a Master of Arts in Leadership, currently, she holds no congregational or organizational positions in this regard. Yet she is so humbled to be used by God in His service as well as the Holy Spirit’s guidance in respect to writing this book; foremost to help lead lost souls to Christ. Enduring her Christian race yet at an unwavering pace, undeniably – Ms. Johnson walks by faith!
