Originally from Denver, CO, I currently reside in Wheat Ridge, CO. I am retired with five children and fifteen grandchildren. I love music, drawing, crafting, writing in my spare time and spending time with family and friends. “Divorced and in the Church” came from my realization of the many divorced women in the Church with the same or similar struggles and conflicts as my own and my desire to help them remain strong in their faith.
God never stops directing us to Him. We choose which direction we’ll take. My struggles as a divorcee didn’t stop at being hurt emotionally. My children needed care and healing. I had to start at zero where my finances were concerned. Spiritually, I remained faithful for a season, but the weight and fatigue of responsibilities clouded my vision of God. Even when I thought God couldn’t or wouldn’t love me anymore, He remained faithful. His love drew me to Him. His Word revealed all the lies of Satan that I believed and the self-condemnation that came from those lies.
I am a dear child of God. His Divine Providence guides and sustains me. As I continue to trust Him, His Spirit helps me to be more Christ-like each day. That means victory in my struggles and a place in the body of Christ designated by God Himself.
