This memoir is written about her fifty year career behind the desk of a counselor. Her career journey led her into the fields of child welfare, adoption, medical social work, geriatrics, and outpatient and inpatient mental health.
Norma’s goal in writing her memoir is to contribute to clearing up the stigma and mystery attached to mental illness by inviting her readers to learn what happened on the other side of her desk.
