My mother Rose Mae Townsend was an inspiration! She would tell my brother and I what happened in Montgomery Alabama where her parents raised her. My mom’s mother died giving birth to her little sister Carrie Townsend making life hard. She helped raise her siblings, always making sure they went to school to learn. My mom spoke of good and bad times growing up in Montgomery ALA. She missed her mom a lot and always told us stories about Roselee Townsend. The way she spoke of the town, places, and stores from the past. I decided to save and go visit that place. I visited the archives and found my mom had more siblings and family. I stayed there for two weeks, talking every day to people and gathering information. My hope is book will one day connect me to this part of my family. Contact me and say, “hello we are related”. The Townsends have a rich legacy and I am blessed to be related. The same stories will be passed down to my children and their children. I am 64 years old and thank God for it. I will travel again and seek my family out one day soon. My prayer is whatever dreams you have do them. Stop making excuses and live your life. The bible says ..... seek and you will find, knock and the door will be open. Remember God’s word will never come back void. God Bless
