Who is Santa Claus? And how did he, over Christ, become the Christmas idol? For centuries, the figure of Santa Claus has slowly overtaken the spotlight of the Christmas season, and humanity has begun substituting the celebration of the birth of Christ for the lust of material possessions. What many fail to understand, however, is that Christ is the greatest gift of all.
Who Is Santa Claus Biblically? by Roland Ramirez exposes Santa Claus for who he truly is—the Enemy, a wolf hidden in sheep’s clothing. In this work, Ramirez discusses how it is not of God when we take our eyes off of Jesus and place them on any other matter during the Christmas season. Satan is strategic in his maneuverings, Ramirez asserts, using three attacks to turn our attention away from Christ’s glory: the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life. Removing the Word from our hearts over generations, Satan replaces blessed worship with cursed objects.
The Enemy comes to steal, kill, and destroy. Even the most innocent sounding concepts like Santa Claus hold a far more sinful nature than we can imagine, and there is no greater deception than the loss of salvation. This year, put Christ back on the Christmas tree and hang the fruits of His sacrifice as ornaments. Jesus is the only One to receive the glory.
