At birth Yamuragiye Cyprien was so severely disabled that his appearance brought fear to the hearts of the residents of his Rwandan village. They were certain that something evil was happening and they were in danger if he was allowed to live. In a culture where names are important his father names him “Unknown” because they didn’t know what he was. Rejected by his own and homeless by three, he miraculously survives only to face an even greater challenge in the Rwandan genocide. Carroll Marr is married to Tanya Fair Marr. He has been the pastor of Southcliff Church in Fort Worth, Texas since 1998. He has been a pastor in Louisiana and Texas since 1976. Dr. Marr received his Bachelor’s degree from Northwestern State University, Natchitoches, Louisiana. His Master of Divinity from Southwestern Theological Seminary, Fort Worth, Texas, and his Doctor of Ministry degree from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary, New Orleans, Louisiana.
