“The rain and snow come down from the heavens and stay on the ground to water the earth. They cause the grain to grow, producing seed for the farmer and bread for the hungry. It is the same with my word. I send it out, and it always produces fruit. It will accomplish all I want it to, and it will prosper everywhere I send it,” (Isa. 55: 10-11).
We’ve all heard the old adage, “Words have power.” Words have the power to create, build up, or destroy. When you become a believer in Christ, your words gain an entirely new sense of purpose, power, and transformational truth once you focus on God’s promises made to us in our earthly lives. Promises made to bring hope and change.
Inspired and first prompted by a childhood mission to write a devotional book and ask “church adults” if they had any “good words,” author Kristin Svee’s Brainwash for Hope and Change is that childhood dream come to fruition, as God never forgot her promise to write it. The fifty-two words focused on inside these pages provide one of God’s promises for each week of meditation upon them. These truths come directly from the kingdom of God, as His Word cancels all our debts and sets us free. As we listen to and speak God’s focused words, let them sink deep into our own hearts, and watch the transformation begin!
