The author, originally from Santee, South Carolina, now resides in Columbia, South Carolina. She graduated from Elloree High School and Midland Technical College with an Associate Degree in Business. After a successful career, she retired from The State in 2014. She and her husband have been married for forty-three years and have three children and five grandchildren. Together, they run their own business, Fludd’s Home Improvement. She is an active member of The Trinity Baptist Church, where she serves on the Intercessory Prayer Ministry Team. She deeply values her church community and their teamwork.
