Life is a continuum of learning. In this small book I attempt to capture my primary learnings over my ninety-five years of life. Every day of these years has presented and continues to present learning opportunities. That is a lot of opportunities. In this book I have tried to write what learnings seem mostly significant as I look back over this long span of life and to stop there. Son, Tom, cautions me to know when it is time to break my pencil, when it is time to stop. My wife, Meg, used to tell our other son, Bob, a pastor, regarding his sermons, to say it and sit down. All is good counsel.
These learnings that I write about come from all phases of my life through childhood, elementary school, high school, college, marriage (of almost sixty-seven years), U.S. Navy for three years, thirty-five years working in production managing and now into my thirty -fifth year of retirement. God has so blessed me.
As I wrote in the Introduction my intent is to share, not to preach. I encourage you to think through your own learnings. I pray God’s rich blessing for you in every day of your life.
