For those suffering in silence: God is not ashamed of you. Your pain does not define you. God uses the broken. Embrace these truths and you are on your way!
IN HIS HEALING HANDS was inspired by author Sharon Ellis’s life as she struggled with years of mental health issues. As early as the tender age of five, she endured physical and mental abuse as well as dysfunctional and toxic relationships as she grew up, all leading to depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, and more. For too long, she hid behind the mask of, “I’m okay. See? I’m smiling,” but after accepting Jesus as her Lord and Savior, she no longer had to hide behind a mask. Meeting Jesus started her journey from trauma and mental disorders to spiritual transformation.
Her story is one that courageously exposes the darkness of mental health issues and her recognition of the many women out there who are suffering in silence as she did. Her testimony is one that raises awareness that the Enemy will always try to intervene to get anyone on his team, but Jesus is real and He protects those who belong to Him.
Offering powerful scripture that point to Jesus as the foundation for transformation, insight on how to develop an intimate relationship with God, discussing how Christian counseling makes for a practical life tool to help cope with trauma and mental health issues, and more, she invites you to discover God’s love, goodness, and power to heal by encapsulating every step necessary to put you on the road to healing and spiritual transformation.
