In this journey called life, we encounter numerous experiences. Some unpleasant and others pleasant. How we end up depends on our attitude to the ups and downs of life. As the late Warren Wiersbe noted "what life does to us depends on what life finds in us" My own experience has shown that it's not how we start but where we finish. It has been a humbling experience in which each phase taught me very important lessons – many of which I didn't come to realize until years later. Brought up in a Christian home didn't ensure fidelity to the things of God.
Although I grew up in a God-fearing home as soon as I was on my own, I became steeped in secular ideology and social activism only to be brought to a place of saving faith and a recognition that God can bring the vilest of sinners to a place of humble submission to His will.
These pages show how one's life can move in various directions only to be brought to a better place by surrendering to the call of God and experience a new perspective which brings "peace with God" and the "peace of God" It shows that even when we taste of His goodness and fall by the way H's "faithful and just to forgive us" and bring us back into a right relationship.
This journey shows also that success is not measured by wealth and fame – which is how society measure us, but rather by a qualitatively different measurement which endows one with an inner peace and strength to face life's troubles and fills us with hope for a brighter future.
